When screen overlay does not show correctly with certain graphics cards I think the op will have better luck if it is an overlay issue to use the ini edit.
The new overlay is available in ohci/sp/nx/sd/hd That is because of the way the storm works. We welcome further discussion on anything that is unclear concerning our Windows Vista support roadmap for EDIUS, right here on the forums. We hope this clarifies our position with regards to EDIUS compatibility with the Windows Vista operating system. *DVRex RT Series is unofficially supported in EDIUS v4.00 to v4.24 – it is not supported at all in EDIUS v4.5 and later.
The following hardware platforms will not be supported in Windows Vista, and will remain supported up to EDIUS v4.x, under Windows XP 32-bit editions only: At this time, we are still determining if it will be feasible to provide support for Windows XP 64-bit editions on the above hardware products. OHCI and ACEDVio will continue to use the native OS drivers. Windows Vista compatible 32-bit and 64-bit hardware drivers for the EDIUS NX series, EDIUS SP series and EDIUS SD/HDLE/HD series will be available with this next EDIUS release.
According to our product planning roadmap, the following hardware platforms will be supported by the next major release of EDIUS in Windows XP 32-bit editions, Windows Vista 32-bit editions and Windows Vista 64-bit editions:
